Maybe it's Ning?

Dear Michael and everybody on EcoTectura,I read a message from Michael with the heading "Goodbye?" - and being an empath I could feel his disappointment. Of course, I could shrug and choose to ignore it. Quite frankly, it matters little to me whether Michael Lucas Monterey is cheesed off or overjoyed - I hardly know the man and have not even begun to plug into this EcoTectura network. Why am I even here? Another virtual friend, Ed "Jor-El" Elkin, whom I haven't met either, invited me on board.…See More

Toyin, Welcome! I'm insanely busy - so I can't spend much time here now. Have you seen the GGL2moro.ning.com network or Facebook page? I'll be spending more time on those for awhile - partly for the almighty Buck$ ;o) Blissings

Can we say more to Jane Galloway, Ph.D., former actress, now pastoring the Immanuel Center (mainly catering to artists and other kinds of creatives) in Long Beach, about our upcoming San Diego meeting? She's very smart, and idea-laden. LF,…

How much is Ning Premium? Are there varying month versus annual subscriptions? My website costs me $19.96 and is called the Professional Package. It gives me lots of diagnostic tools; saves me a lot of labor and tediousness. I may look into it. I…

The Scope...

In the field of design we pros use the term "design problem" to work with the basics of a project, in order to reach a "solution" -- the best of all designs possible within the constraints of the project. To succeed, we do project analysis, research, study, investigation, and exploration, beginning with an attempt to determine the actual scope of the problem. We try to identitify the outer limits of our constraints, all the factors and contributing circumstances that may lead to horrific…See More

The EcoTectura Networks's Purpose & Mission

Greetings Green Beloveds, Friends, & Allies, I recently realized that my original postings were more deficient than even I knew. So, please forgive me and let me make up for my prior lack of adequate input. The purpose of the EcoTectura network is two-fold, 1) to provide a showcase for leading edge, green, real world solutions for real world problems that don't get adequate coverage in the other media and networks or get lost in the clutter or get no effective coverage at all; and 2) to provide a network for communication, promotion, team building, alliance building, and collaborative creation by members of the community of ecotects, green designers, fans, allies, planners, consultants, SMEs, Permaculture experts, reporters, policy makers, legislators, officials, politicians, executives, NGOs, R&D groups, public-private consortiums, researchers, theorists, schools, teachers, students, real estate developers, investors, builders, subcontractors, tradesmen, and future green home owners/builders. We who have devoted our lives to this complex and demanding field of interdisciplinary studies and work appreciate your appreciation, respect, support, feedback, suggestions, inspirations and helpful efforts to make this a better, safer, greener world and all your consideration and goodwill in keeping this network as lively and effective as it can be. Thanks for your kindness and understanding. Michael Monterey

Bodhi Goforth

a marvelous victory...

"To be hopeful in bad times is not just foolishly romantic. It is based on the fact that human history is a history not only of cruelty, but also of compassion, sacrifice, courage, kindness. What we choose to emphasize in this complex history will determine our lives. If we see only the worst, it destroys our capacity to do something. If we remember those times and places (and there are so many) where people have behaved magnificently, this gives… Continue

He wishes for the Cloths of Heaven

He wishes for the Cloths of Heaven

Had I the heavens' embroidered cloths,

Enwrought with golden and silver light,

The blue and the dim and the dark cloths

Of night and light and the half-light,

I would spread the cloths under your feet:

But I, being poor, have only my dreams;

I have spread my dreams under your feet;

Tread softly because you tread upon…
